Dhaka, June 22 -- Ever since Tamil actor Vijay announced the launch of his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, in February last year, there has been speculation about whether Jana Nayagan, directed by H Vinoth, will be his final film.

His co-star Mamitha Baiju recently addressed the matter at an event, offering fans a glimmer of hope.

Speaking at the Kerala Carnival in Ireland, Mamitha recalled a conversation with Vijay during the shoot. She said in Malayalam, "One day, when we were shooting together, I casually asked him whether Jana Nayagan is truly his last movie. Vijay sir candidly responded that it will depend on how the elections go. He said, we'll see what happens."
