Bhola, July 14 -- truck services on 10 major routes, including Bhola-Lakshmipur and others, remained suspended on Monday due to adverse weather triggered by the depression in the Bay of Bengal.
Md Jasim Uddin, transport inspector of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA), Bhola, said that although launch and sea-truck services had resumed last Thursday after a 7-day suspension, operations have again been halted due to inclement weather.
Earlier, the maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal no. three due to low pressure area steep pressure gradient lies over North Bay and adjoining area.
