Dhaka, Dec. 31 -- The body of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia was taken to Gulshan Avenue residence of her elder son and party's acting Chairman Tarique Rahman from Evercare Hospital in Dhaka on Wednesday morning.

A freezer-van carrying Khaleda Zia's body wrapped in red and green national flag left the hospital around 8:55am and arrived at Tarique's residence around 9:16am.

Earlier, the body was kept at the hospital mortuary overnight before being taken to Gulshan.

A huge number of law enforcers haven been deployed in and around Gulshan residence of Tarique Rahman to maintain law and order.
