, Nov. 13 -- A shocking tragedy unfolded in Rajshahi city on Thursday as the 18-year-old son of a sitting judge was hacked to death and his wife severely injured in a violent attack at their rented residence in the city's Dabtola area.

The victim, Tausif Rahman Sumon, a class IX student, was the son of Rajshahi Metropolitan and Sessions Judge Md Abdur Rahman and Tasmin Nahar.

According to Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mohammad Abu Sufian, the assailant entered the judge's residence and attacked the family members indiscriminately, leaving Tausif dead on the spot and his mother critically injured.
