Dhaka, Feb. 3 -- Bangladesh and Japan have signed the "exchange of notes" on the Japanese grant aid for a project for the improvement of equipment for air pollution monitoring with an amount up to JPY 835 million (about USD 5 million).

In this project, equipment for air pollution monitoring is to be set up to enhance the capacity to measure and analyse air pollutants derived mainly from vehicle emissions in the capital city Dhaka and Chattogram, thereby contributing to enhancing air pollution control capacity.
