ITF Tennis: Bangladesh reach semifinals in boys', girls' groups
Dhaka, June 26 -- Hosts Bangladesh team reached the semifinals in both the boys' and girls' team events of the Walton ITF Asian Under-12 Team Tennis Tournament at different city venues on Wednesday.
In the day's last group matches, Bangladesh Boys' team beat Bhutan by 3-0 matches to qualify for the semis as group runners-up with two wins and a loss while Bangladesh girls' team also booked a seat for the last-four stage as group runners-up despite losing the last match to Nepal by 1-2 matches.
In the boys' group, Hossain Sajib (BAN) beat Jigme Pema Namgyel (BHU) 6-2 6-1, Mollah Nadim (BAN) beat Yoezer Dorji Wangchuck (BHU) 6-1 6-1 while Bangladeshi pair Mollah Nadim and Sajib Hossain Sajib beat Yoezer Dorji Wangchuck (BHU) and Tashi Nima...
