Dhaka, Sept. 13 -- Helen Keller International (HKI), in partnership with MetLife Foundation, has launched a new initiative to support 500 poverty-stricken families in the haor region of Sunamganj and Sylhet, aiming to help them engage in sustainable income-generating activities.
Under the programme, participating families will receive training and resources in both on-farm and off-farm trades, including livestock and poultry rearing, tailoring, aquaculture, small business ventures, fishing, and commercial vegetable farming, according to a press release.
