Dhaka, May 31 -- The risk of flood has increased in various regions of the country due to rising water levels in several rivers following heavy rainfall.
According to the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC), the Surma, Kushiyara, Manu, Dhalai, Jadukata, and Someshwari rivers are swelling due to moderate to heavy rainfall in the Sylhet and Mymensingh divisions.

Low-lying areas in Sunamganj, Netrokona, and Moulvibazar districts are facing risk of being affected by flash floods.
In the Brahmaputra-Jamuna river basin, water levels are rising at multiple points, with possibility of further rise in next 5 days.
