, July 17 -- A deep sense of horror and grief has gripped the quiet village of Islampur West Para in Bogura's Sadar upazila, after the throat-slit bodies of an elderly woman and her granddaughter-in-law were recovered from their home on Wednesday night.

The victims, Lily Bewa, 80, wife of Abdul Quddus, and Habiba Yeasmin, 21, wife of Parvez Islam, were both found lying in a pool of blood inside the family home.

Another third family member, Bonnya, 15, a promising young girl who had just passed her SSC examination, was also seriously injured in the attack.

She is now fighting for her life at the Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital.
