Dhaka, Nov. 17 -- The interim government on Monday said the death sentences announced against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on charges of crimes against humanity mark a historic verdict.

Acknowledging the profound significance of the verdict, the interim government urged citizens from all walks of life to remain calm, composed and responsible.
