Natore, April 11 -- A large amount of cash and gold ornaments have been stolen allegedly from the storeroom of the Natore court after miscreants broke its lock sometime during Thursday night, police said Friday.
Natore Superintendent of Police (SP) Amzad Hossain, after visiting the scene, said an organised gang of thieves entered the court police office by cutting the grill of a window. They then broke into the storeroom, looted the cash and gold ornaments stored as evidence, and fled the scene.
Before committing the theft, the gang disconnected the CCTV system, including the video recorder and its connection, to avoid detection, said the SP.
