Dhaka, June 27 -- Amid escalating tensions over the Iran-Israel conflict, the first batch of 28 Bangladeshi nationals in Iran has departed for Pakistan by road and has reached the border.
With the help of the Pakistani government, they will soon reach Karachi from the border, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday night.
From there, they will return to Bangladesh by air, added the ministry.

The Bangladesh embassy in Tehran will continue to assist with the repatriation of other Bangladeshis wishing to return until the situation in Iran stabilises.
