Manikganj, Feb. 2 -- Kazirhat and Paturia-Daulatdia river routes resumed on Sunday morning following suspension caused by the dense fog on Saturday night.

Nasir Chowdhury, deputy general manager (DGM) of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) in Aricha, said the ferry services on the both routes resumed at 8:30am and 9am respectively after eight, and 10 and half hours of suspension.

The authorities were allowing passenger buses and freight trucks to cross the Meghna and Jamuna rivers on priority basis.
