Dhaka, Aug. 8 -- Terming Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib as an inspiration for Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, former Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury said Fazilatunnesa Mujib used to play pivotal role in Bangabandhu's life.

"She (Fazilatunnesa Mujib) was inspirational...In absence of Bangabandhu, when he was in jail, Fazilatunnesa Mujib always shadowed Bangabandhu with her wisdom, courage, and strategy.allowing him to lead his life free of worries," she said.

Awami League Presidium member Matia Chowdhury made the remarks at a discussion marking the 88th birth anniversary of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib arranged by Bangamata Parishad at Jatiya Press Club.
