Dhaka, June 28 -- A family dispute over ancestral land in Kazipur village in Gangni upazila of Meherpur district, erupted into violence on Friday evening, leaving six family members injured.

The injured are Yunus Ali, 70, his wife Zainab Ara, 60, and their son Hasanuzzaman, 31, from one side. On the opposing side, Mohsin Ali, 80, his wife Hanufa, 65, and their son Ripon Hossain, 30.

Yunus Ali alleged that his elder brother, Mohsin Ali, was attempting to forcibly occupy his land. When they protested, Mohsin Ali, along with his wife and son, reportedly attacked them.
