Dhaka, Feb. 21 -- The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at East West University (EWU) has felicitation its alumnus, Rifat Nabi, co-founder of the popular Bengali typing software Avro; for receiving the prestigious Ekushey Padak.
The event took place on Thursday at the university's Manzur Elahi Auditorium and was joined by Professor Dr Mohammed Farashuddin, Chief Advisor of EWU and former governor of Bangladesh Bank as the chief guest.
The event was presided over by Professor Dr M. Ashik Mosaddik, Pro-Vice Chancellor of EWU. On the occasion, Rifat Nabi was honoured with a laptop computer as a token of appreciation.
