Dhaka, Oct. 26 -- Families of the July martyrs claimed on Sunday that the ideals and objectives for which their loved ones sacrificed their lives remain unfulfilled.

They made the remarks during a meeting with the National Consensus Commission held at the LD Hall of the National Parliament.

A 10-member delegation representing the martyrs' families told the Commission that they continue to face humiliation and deprivation in various government departments. They said that despite repeated efforts to raise their concerns, "invisible obstacles" prevent them from being heard.

The families also stressed the need to give the July National Charter a legal foundation and called for steps to ensure their safety and security.
