Dhaka, Feb. 3 -- Six international flights had been diverted to Sylhet and Kolkata airports due to heavy fog at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka.
Airport authorities reported that dense fog forced the diversion of two Kuwait Airways flights from Kuwait City and a Salam Air flight from Muscat to Kolkata, while three other flights were redirected to Sylhet on Monday morning.

"Due to dense fog, several flights had been diverted to Kolkata, but operations have now returned to normalcy, with the diverted flights landing in Dhaka after 9 am," said Shahjalal Airport Executive Director, Group Captain Mohammad Kamrul Islam.
