Dhaka, March 16 -- Md Abdul Jalil, father of journalist Touhidur Rahman, passed away on Saturday evening at the age of 79.

He breathed his last at a hospital in Khalishpur, Khulna, after battling complications related to old age.

The Diplomatic Correspondents Association, Bangladesh (DCAB) expressed its profound sorrow at the death of its member (banglanews24.com diplomatic correspondent) and former General Secretary's father.
