Dhaka, Aug. 1 -- Bangladesh Army formed a court of inquiry against an officer following allegations of political involvement, brought forwarded by a law enforcement agency.
Upon receiving the allegation, the Bangladesh Army took immediate action, considering the matter with utmost importance.
The officer was then taken into military custody from his residence in Uttara area of the capital on July 17.
A court of inquiry has already been formed to ensure a fair and impartial investigation.
Preliminary findings have reportedly substantiated the allegation, said a media release of the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate on Friday.
