, May 11 -- A Dhaka court on Sunday sent former Shamima Akhter Khanam, a Krishak League leader and former MP from reserved women's seat of Sunamganj, to jail after rejecting her bail petition in a case filed over the killing of a Jubo League Dal leader Shamim.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Atiqur Rahman passed the order after hearing a bail petition.
