Thakurgaon, April 1 -- BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Tuesday termed the interim government's recent visit to China a "major success", highlighting Beijing's commitment to continued investment in Bangladesh.
Speaking to journalists at his residence in Kalibari, Thakurgaon, before an Eid greetings exchange and discussion with party leaders and activists, Fakhrul said, "During the previous Awami League government, China had maintained unilateral ties with a single party. However, with the change in government, China has also adjusted its approach."
