, Dec. 8 -- A case has been filed over the killing of a freedom fighter and his wife at their home in Taraganj upazila of Rangpur.

Shoven Chandra Roy, the couple's eldest son, filed the case at Taraganj Police Station on Sunday night against unidentified assailants, said Officer-in-Charge (OC investigation) Ruhul Amin on Monday evening.

The OC said police are conducting a thorough investigation over the double murder.

"Important evidence has been collected from the scene. We hope those involved will be brought to justice very soon," he added.
