Bangladesh, Dec. 2 -- The Cabinet Committee on Public Purchase has approved 12 procurement proposals including the import of rice, fertiliser and petroleum.
Law Minister Anisul Haque presided over the meeting in absence of the committee head Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal on Wednesday.
The committee approved a proposal of the Food Ministry to import of 50,000 MT non-Bashmoti parboiled rice for the financial year 2020-21 through international quotation.
PK Agri Link Private Ltd of West Bengal, India, won the contract at a value of Tk 2.08 crore. Each kg of rice will cost Tk 35.27 while each MT rice will cost US$ 416.
