Dhaka, Feb. 5 -- Angry protesters launched a violent attack on the residence of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman located at Dhanmondi 32 on Wednesday night.

The attackers forcibly entered the premises after breaking open the gate and went berserk.

As of 11 pm, the crowd brought in a bulldozer and stationed it outside the building.

The protest was in response to an online speech given by the former Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina.

Earlier, protesters had announced a plan to hold a bulldozer march at Dhanmondi 32 in retaliation.

Although they had initially threatened to demolish the house with bulldozers at 9 pm, the protesters altered their plans and arrived earlier, by 8 pm.
