Chattogram, April 5 -- Citing that the next national budget will be as big as of TK 5 lakh crore, Chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan said Thursday that local industries have to be given more importance in the budget to boost overall investment in the manufacturing sector.

Incentive schemes geared towards that aim in the budget would motivate people to shift to the relevant industries and drive up investment in the manufacturing sector. The top taxman said this while exchanging views with businessmen at Bangabandhu Conference Centre of Chattogram World Trade Centre.
