Chattogram, Feb. 19 -- BNP's city unit on Tuesday announced two-day programmes in protest against an attempt to rename the Liberation War museum named after the party's founder Ziaur Rahman.

The programmes include submitting memoranda to Chattogram deputy commissioner and police commissioner on February 25, and holding a human chain on February 26.

City unit BNP President Dr Shahadat Hossain declared the plan of action at a press briefing at the party office and demanded resetting Zia's name on the museum's nameplate.

"We declared the programmes protesting against the attempt to rename the museum, smudging Zia's name and covering his mural with a cloth," said Shahadat.
