Tangail, July 26 -- It was meant to be a simple journey. A 22-year-old woman from Nasirnagar in Brahmanbaria, travelling alone, mistakenly boarded the wrong train.

What followed was a night of unimaginable horror, one that laid bare the darkest depths of human betrayal and cruelty.

Arriving at Gharinda Station near Tangail Railway Station around 12:30am on Friday, the young woman found herself stranded, confused and frightened.

Seeking help, she turned to the railway police who sworn to protect. In a tragic twist of fate, her plea for assistance became the beginning of her ordeal.
