Dhaka, Feb. 3 -- Bangladesh Development Party (BDP) led by Chairman Anwarul Islam Chan has been registered as a political party with the Election Commission (EC).

The party received its registration certificate from EC Secretary Akhter Ahmed at the EC headquarters on Monday morning.

Speaking to the media, BDP Chairman Anwarul Islam said his party is committed to doing politics based on the spirit of the Liberation War and the July Revolution.
