Chuadanga, July 3 -- A Bangladeshi man was killed in firing allegedly by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at the Sultanpur border under Darshana police station in Chuadanga on Wednesday.

The deceased Ibrahim Khalil Babu, 29, is the son of Nurul Islam of Jhanjhadanga village in Parkrishnapur Madna union of Damurhuda upazila in Chuadanga.

The incident took place inside India at the Sultanpur border on Wednesday afternoon, said Local UP member Abdur Rahman.

BGB officials are trying to bring back the body, he added.

Quoting family members, UP member Rahman said that Ibrahim, a tea seller and father of a two-and-a-half-year-old child, had gone to cut grass for cattle in the afternoon when he was shot. Family members were informed of ...
