Dhaka, July 24 -- Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and its Burn centre, the only specialised facility managing major burn injuries in Southeast Asia, sent a senior consultant to Dhaka within 24 hours of the Milestone tragedy.
He was followed by three colleagues who reached on Wednesday and five more are arriving Thursday.
"We're grateful for both words and deeds," said Chief Adviser's Special Envoy for International Affairs Lutfey Siddiqi on Thursday.
Earlier on July 23, Singapore's Prime Minister Lawrence Wong wrote Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus, expressing solidarity with the people of Bangladesh.
