Dhaka, March 16 -- Sk. Bashir Uddin, Adviser to the Ministry of Commerce, urged Iran to increase its investment in Bangladesh's agricultural sector on Sunday.

He made the call during a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Bangladesh Mansour Chavoshi at the Secretariat.

During the meeting, they discussed the development of bilateral relations and explored ways to increase trade and investment.

The Commerce Adviser pointed out that Iran's trade volume with Bangladesh is currently smaller than its potential, despite both countries having significant export capabilities.
