Dhaka, Aug. 24 -- Bangladesh and Nigeria have noted that there are huge potentials to expand bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and underlined exchange of high-level visits.

The two countries stressed on sharing of best practices for the mutual benefit of the peoples of the two countries which share commonalities in many respects.

High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Nigeria Md Shameem Ahsan met Vice-president of Nigeria Yemi Osinbajo on Friday at his office in the State House, Abuja and discussed the issues.

Ahsan also briefed him on the manifold challenges being faced by Bangladesh due to influx of 1.1 million Rohingya refugees.
