Dhaka, April 16 -- Bangladesh and Germany on Wednesday signed a financial agreement on development cooperation.
Under this agreement Germany will finance Euro 52.5 million or approximately Tk 724 crore for the project 'Climate Change Adapted Urban Development Programme' VIII.
Md Shahriar Kader Siddiky, Secretary, Economic Relations Division (ERD), Ministry of Finance of Bangladesh and Achim Troster, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Bangladesh, signed the agreement on behalf of the two governments.
This is the first funding after the Joint Declaration of Intent (JDI) of Bangladesh - German Climate and Development Partnership (CDP), signed by the two governments in December 2024.
