Dhaka, April 10 -- Bangladesh and Algeria on Thursday underscored the prospects for enhanced cooperation in the energy sector, including the establishment of a joint working group and the possibility of high-level ministerial visits.

Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening economic ties through increased business-to-business interactions, proposing virtual meetings, exchange of business delegations, and participation in trade fairs in both countries.

The issues were discussed when Ambassador of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria to Bangladesh Dr Abdelouahab Saidani paid a courtesy call on Foreign Secretary Ambassador Md Jashim Uddin at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
