Dhaka, Feb. 5 -- Angry protesters started demolishing the residence of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, located at Dhanmondi 32 in the capital, using a bulldozer.

They started dismantling it around 11:30pm.

They also attempted to bring in another bulldozer but failed due to police obstructions.

Earlier, they launched a violent attack on the residence of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman around 8pm.

The attackers forcibly entered the premises after breaking open the gate and started vandalising it.

The protest was in response to an online speech delivered by deposed Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina.

Protesters had announced plans to hold a bulldozer march in Dhanmondi 32 in protests.
