Dhaka, Aug. 19 -- Bangladesh Women's Handball team left here for India on Monday night to participate in the 8th Asian Women's Youth Handball Championship'2019 beginning in the Indian city of Jaipur on August 21.

They left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on an Air India flight around 9pm.

Bangladesh have been placed in the tough Group A along with defending champions South Korea, runners-up Japan, Uzbekistan and Chinese Taipei while Group B comprises of hosts India, PR China, Kazakhstan, Nepal and Mongolia.

Bangladesh will play defending champions South Korea in the opening match on August 21.
