Gazipur, Nov. 7 -- Bangladesh Army has warned that legal action would be taken against those spreading false or misleading information about the arrests of seven people, including a former Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) leader of Sreepur upazila in Gazipur district, on social media.

At a press briefing on Friday morning at the temporary army camp of the Bangladesh Rice Research Institute, Lt Col Lutfor Rahman, commander of the 14 Field Regiment Artillery, said they were arrested based on specific intelligence reports.

On Wednesday night, the joint force arrested people, including Enamul Haque Mollah-former upazila-level leader of the JCD, during a special raid in Barkul village and adjacent areas.
