Gopalganj, June 12 -- An army soldier was injured during an attack by workers at the Chapail Bridge in Sadar Upazila, Gopalganj, over toll collection.

The injured soldier is CPL MD Sajjad Hossain of Dhaka Headquarters.

Five people were detained in connection with the incident, said Mir Mohammad Sajedur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Gopalganj Sadar Police Station.

The detainees are Anwar, 65, Alaamin, 30, Shahin Bhuiyan, 21, Emon Sikder, 17, and Shimul, 27. They were taken into custody by joint forces and handed over to Gopalganj Sadar Police Station.
