Dhaka, April 29 -- Actor Siddique was assaulted and forcibly taken to the police by a group of agitated individuals on Tuesday afternoon. A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media platform Facebook.

The footage shows Siddique, his clothes torn, being paraded through the streets before being handed over to police officers at Ramna Police Station.

Sub-Inspector Jalal, the duty officer at Ramna Police Station, said, "A group of people brought him to us this afternoon. His clothes were torn, and he is currently in our custody."
