, Nov. 23 -- The dengue situation in Bangladesh continues to deteriorate as eight more deaths were reported from dengue in 24 hours till Sunday morning, raising the number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh to 364 this year.

During the same period, 778 new patients were admitted to hospitals, raising the total number of dengue cases this year to 90,264, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Three of the news deaths were reported in the Mymensingh division, two in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and one each in Barishal, Dhaka and Chattogram Divisions.
