, July 14 -- Cultural Affairs Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki on Monday announced that memorials commemorating the martyrs of the July uprising will be constructed in all 64 districts across Bangladesh.
Speaking at a press conference held at Ganabhaban, as part of the "July Uprising Reawakening Programmes," Farooki said construction will begin on Monday, starting from Narayanganj, and all memorials are expected to be completed by August 4.
"These memorials will be text-based, as the July Movement was significantly driven by slogans, poems, statements and writings. The initiative to build these memorials is aimed at introducing the sacrifices of the July martyrs to the new generation," Farooki explained at the press conference.
