Rangpur, March 29 -- Police have detained a female abductor and rescued four children in Rangpur.
The woman, identified as 28-year-old Aduri Begum, wife of Mansur Ali from Fakirchar village in Ulipur upazila of Kurigram, was apprehended near Rangpur Railway Station at around 10:15 pm on Friday (March 28).
Shankar Ganguly, Superintendent of Rangpur Railway Station, said they suspect that the children were being taken to be trafficked.
According to the victims' family, on Thursday (March 27), Aduri Begum arrived at a house in Tapodhan village of Ward No. 7 in Rangpur, seeking shelter. The homeowner, Ashikul Islam, accommodated her.
