Sylhet, Feb. 4 -- Sylhet division has witnessed 36 deaths and 33 injuries in 33 road accidents, with the highest 15 deaths from motorbike accidents, in January of the current year.

Sylhet Division Committee of Safe Roads Movement (Nischa) revealed the information on Tuesday in a media release.

The highest number of accidents occurred in Sylhet district, while the lowest occurred in Moulvibazar.

In Sylhet district, 17 accidents claimed the lives of 20 people and injured 33 others, 5 deaths and 1 injury in Sunamganj, 2 fatalities and 3 injuries in Moulvibazar, and 9 deaths and 31 injuries in Habiganj.
