Dhaka, March 1 -- Police have recovered 300 rounds of Chinese rifle ammunition abandoned in Dhaka's Pallabi area.

The bullets were found at 11:15 pm on Friday in an under-construction building on Baunia Beribadh Road, according to Pallabi Police Station on Saturday.

Acting on a tip-off, authorities discovered the large number of bullets abandoned on a sand pile near a tin fence, next to a 14-storey building on Baunia Beribadh Road in Mirpur-11 E-Block.

Legal actions were underway in connection with the incident.
