, March 3 -- Three people were killed and three others injured in a head-on collision between a truck and an ambulance on the Rajshahi-Chapainawabganj highway at Razabari in Godagari upazila of Rajshahi district on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Zafar Iqbal Jewel, 45, the ambulance driver, patient Sundari Rani, 65, and her relative Adori Rani, 38.

Ruhul Amin, officer-in-charge of Godagari Police Station, said the accident occurred around 6am when the truck collided head on with the ambulance carrying patient Sundari Rani, leaving three killed on the spot and three others injured.
