Dhaka, July 1 -- Two senior police officials, including a deputy inspector general (DIG), were suspended on Tuesday for long-term absence from their respective workplaces without permission from the authorities concerned.
The suspended officials are DIG Noor-e-Alam Mina who was posted at Bangladesh Police Academy in Sarda of Rajshahi and Md Rahmat Ullah Chowdhury, superintendent of police at Industrial Police-2 in Gazipur.

The Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs issued two separate notifications in this regard on Tuesday, saying that the duo was suspended following the Section-3 (Ga) of the Public Employees Act-2018.
