Cumilla, Nov. 28 -- Two people were killed and two others seriously injured Friday afternoon when a passenger bus collided with a truck carrying bricks on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in Daudkandi, Cumilla police said.

The accident occurred in the Hugulia area of Daudkandi while a Starline bus traveling toward Chattogram struck a truck coming from the opposite direction.

One of the deceased was identified as Tafazzal Hossain, 45, son of the late Fazlul Haque from Bakrikandi village in Chandina upazila. The second victim, Khorshid, 40, has not yet been identified.
