Barishal, July 8 -- A new educational institute named 'Dr Enayet Karim College' has officially opened its doors in Malikanda village under Wazirpur Upazila of Barishal, aiming to provide quality higher education to students in remote areas and reduce dropout rates.

Md Sohrab Hossain, Additional Divisional Commissioner (General) and Administrator of Barishal Zila Parishad, inaugurated the college at a ceremony, chaired by the institution's founder, Dr Enayet Karim.

Professor Md Omar Faruq, Director of Intermediate and Higher Education in the Barishal region, Md Ali Suja, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Wazirpur, and SM Alauddin, Senior Vice-President of Wazirpur Upazila BNP, attended the event as special guests.
