India, March 10 -- Operations at Germany's major airports have been disrupted due to a strike called by the United Services Trade Union. The strike began with an unexpected early walkout at Hamburg Airport on Sunday, leading to significant flight cancellations. In total, 144 arrivals and 139 departures were cancelled, affecting the travel plans of more than 40,000 passengers.

The strike impacts the airports in Frankfurt, Bremen, Hanover, Berlin, Dusseldorf, Weeze, Dortmund, Cologne/Bonn, Leipzig/Halle, Stuttgart, Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden, and Munich. Passengers departing from these airports should verify their flight status before going to the airport.
